Christmas just passed, and I’ve been blogging crap for a week. Hahaha… I was lazy to write, so cutting and pasting had to do. =P Back to the week before Christmas. Was being forced to clear my off, so I planned to work 2 days that week, Mon and Tues, and take Wed and Thurs off. Friday was family day, free movie at Cineleisure, which happened to be King Kong, which I had just watched with Wendy on Sat. Sad-ded. Aniwae… My plan for a 2-day work week was spoilt, when I got recalled on Thurs because they didn’t have enough people. Lo and behold when I got there and looked at the board, there were actually spare men on that day! If you can afford to have spare personnel, without teams, then why would you say that there were not enough people? Haiz… To think that we have the Organisational Excellence Cert.
Well at least Friday’s plan went along without a hitch. Watched King Kong and then made our way to play LAN at siglap. Poor O Mr. Lin doesn’t know how to play CS, and doesn’t want to be a free frag(I told him I’ll give him my gun and kill him with a knife… Heehee), so we split and some played DOTA, and the rest, including me, played C&C: Generals with him. After that we changed over to Battlefield: Vietnam which was better, save for the renegade rocket every now and then supplied by Mr. Lin himself. I swear he was trying to kill me sometimes. After playing for a couple of hours, we went for dinner before heading home.
Christmas was a pretty quiet affair; my place has never been that big on celebrations anyway. Christmas dinner was turkey and mutton curry. A very classical Singaporean combination.
Took off again on the Tues after Christmas (thereby extending my hol) and when out with Wei Wen. It was supposed to be him and gang, but I guess the gang pulled out on him and it was just me and him. Went to meet him by bus, thinking that it’s a working day, Orchard Rd would be less crowded and the placed not jammed up. Guess I was wrong and spent 45mins in a freaking jam that started all the way from before Scotts. Ended up being pretty late meeting Wei Wen. We went to catch the movie, The Picture, which is for your info, a very lame show. The story cuts off half-way, as though it was short on budget. The fighting scenes were not too bad though. I would rate it 2 out of 5 stars. Don’t waste $$ on it. After the movie, we went to summerset to pick up Wei Wen’s god-daughter for dinner. Over dinner, whilst talking to his god-daughter, found out that one of his other god-daughters doesn’t talk to him because her bf disapproves (How lame can one get?) and another one turned les. This thing about girls going after other girls is getting more common nowadays. It’s a worrying trend. Wonder why…
Went for physiotherapy for my ankle on Thurs. Its pretty lame I say, but anything that gets me out of camp early. Got electro treatment, which knocked out my hp for 4 hrs! And my hp was off at that time. If it was on, it probably would have gotten fried. Whew! But I must remember to put my phone in my bag the next time. When through all the funny things they wanted me to do… but the end result is more disappointing… no improvement. Hope it gets better the next time.
Friday was a pretty packed day. I went for driving in the morning, including the circuit at BBDC. Knocked down the poles during parallel parking due to a miscalculation which resulting in me reversing too much. Argh… At this rate I’m bound to fail… *sob* Still got a month to improve before the test date. I will pass when it comes! Hahaha… Try to at least. After the driving lesson, met up with Aud for lunch, before heading to Ben’s house for the pot-luck, which I was supposed to bring cooked satay, but the apparently don’t start cooking so early. So I ended up sharing pizza with Yun. I spent the rest of the day playing majong, and battlefield 2, which incidentally my com cannot play due to a video card incompatibility. Haiz.
I’m still planning to see if there is anything to do for New Year, but most likely, I will spend it watching TV and catching up on sleep. Hahaha… Till then. Ciao.

Brain Test
I got this test off Sandip's blog... Guess I'm pretty universal eh? hahaha...
Leonard, you are Balanced-brained
That means you are able to draw on the strengths of both the right and left hemispheres of your brain, depending upon a given situation.
When you need to explain a complicated process to someone, or plan a detailed vacation, the left hemisphere of your brain, which is responsible for your ability to solve problems logically, might kick in. But if you were critiquing an art opening or coming up with an original way to file papers, the right side of your brain, which is responsible for noticing subtle details in things, might take over.
While many people have clearly dominant left- or right-brained tendencies, you are able to draw on skills from both hemispheres of your brain. This rare combination makes you a very creative and flexible thinker.
The down side to being balanced-brained is that you may sometimes feel paralyzed by indecision when the two hemispheres of your brain are competing to solve a problem in their own unique ways.

Update!
I’ve been pretty lazy to blog lately, and usually by the time I get myself up to blog, someone would come and ask me to do something else first. I have finally managed to find the will to write this entry…
Let me start where I last left off…
Sat 10th Dec
Mun Yee’s BBQ went pretty well. By the time all the guys met at BP Plaza and went over to the pits, the girls had already started cooking. We added to what was already on the fire by skewering chicken wings and hot dogs till all the metal skewers were used up. When new charcoal arrived, the guys hopped over to the second pit to start another fire. The girls were scrutinising our fire starting skills, mainly because there was the initial problem with the fire starter. We burnt it with a lighter till the lighter was too hot to handle, and the fire starter escaped unscathed! It was as if the fire starter itself was fire-proof! Got sick of trying to get the fire starter burning by the lighter, and decided to use some solid fuel that was present to get the fire going. Once that was done, some of the guys stuck the fire starter on satay sticks (aft they ate the satay of course) and tried to get the fire starter to burn. Too bad I don’t have a picture of that, because they looked as though they had taken marshmallows and burnt them to a crisp by poking it at the fire. Haha… But at least we had more success burning the fire starter that way.
After starting the fire, to cooking started. I got to eat mostly sotong, because that was the only thing that seemed to actually cook on the fire. The chicken wings on the fire had a hard time cooking, most probably due to the aluminium foil over the grill. But once we removed the foil, it stared to burn. Haha… I managed to get a taste of everything, but luckily that was on my own free will and not during the “zhong zi mi mah” that we played once we were all full. It stared pretty one sided at first, and though one of the guys took the first round, the girls took turns to eat for the next few rounds. All of them started making noise, saying that we should change places with them, so it would not be so one-sided. The cute thing was that when one of the girls came over to sit with the guys, she got the “magic number” and her share of the food. Hahaha… Tough luck. The game evened out later, and the host got the most food. She got 3 chicken wings on one round, and commented it was ok, cos’ she only had 1 chicken wing previously. Then the next time she got the “magic number”, she got half a tray of bee hoon! Haha… And she chose that before we stared the round. Once the food was all gone, the evening ended with some of us tossing hot coals into the canal next to the pits to see them splatter and boil in the water down below. That and the gift exchange. Once we completed the gift exchange, the lights went out. That was our cue to start clearing up whatever was left and head home. Chiang Wei was nice enough to give us a ride to the interchange in the cab he and TYY were sharing, but we had to abandon KW to take LRT due to the lack of space. Luckily he stayed within walking distance of an LRT station.
Mon 12th Dec
Went back to camp after the expiry of my MC. Worked less than ½ a day before I was told that since I was on light duty, my hard earned off was going to be used to give me an extended holiday. *Sob* I had to work OT on that day on top of that, to clear up all the admin matters. So the rest of the week I had another “holiday”. I managed to book my driving lessons for the rest of the week except for Wed.
Tues 13th Dec
Went for driving lesson at 1130hrs. It went pretty well except at the ending, when my ankle started to hurt and it became slightly harder to control the pedal. I kept over stepping the accelerator. Once the lesson ended, I headed for a quick bite before ending up at CW’s place for bowling later in the day. It was a day that the gutter was very clean. The “winning” score? 34. Haha. We had a lot of - - scores that day. After bowling, we headed to the Jurong stadium for dinner at KFC. We tried the new firey flavour and poor Yun was sweating even though we were in an air-conditioned environment.
Thur 14th Dec
Went for another driving lesson. This time went into the circuit for the first time. It’s a crowd place that has a lot of things to drive through. From the S-curve, steep hill, parking, etc. The place being so cramped also doesn’t help. Lucky I didn’t run up any curbs.
Sat 16th Dec
Went to see the movie King Kong with Wendy. The movie was nice; everything looked very realistic and detailed. The fights with the T-rexes was good too… along with the giant creepy crawlies. But I would say the let down in this movie was the ending. The ending was very anti-climatic, with the signature scene of King Kong climbing up the empire state building and getting shot dead by planes. Romantic movie. Too bad that I’m not after the gal I went to watch the movie with. =p
That pretty much was my whole boring week. My ankle is still not ok, so I still can’t go back to playing bball anytime soon. Haiz. Guess I will stop here now. I got to prepare to go to camp. Ciao!
Btw, anyone wants to go see Chronicles of Nania? CW? Ben?

Green Day
Boulevard of Broken Dreams
I walk a lonely road
The only one that I have ever known
Don't know where it goes
But it's home to me and I walk alone
I walk this empty street
On the Boulevard of Broken Dreams
Where the city sleeps
and I'm the only one and I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk a...
My shadow's the only one that walks beside me
My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me
'Til then I walk alone
Ah-ah, Ah-ah, Ah-ah, Aaah-ah,
Ah-ah, Ah-ah, Ah-ah
I'm walking down the line
That divides me somewhere in my mind
On the border line
Of the edge and where I walk alone
Read between the lines
What's fucked up and everything's alright
Check my vital signs
To know I'm still alive and I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk a...
My shadow's the only one that walks beside me
My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating

Blogging again!
I know I haven’t blogged in sometime. These past week or so, I’ve been an addict. (I know the first thing that is going to pop into your mind is drugs but that’s not it.) I’ve been addicted to sudoku!
It’s a puzzle consisting of 81 boxes set into a 9X9 grid. The grid is then further divided into 9 separate boxes. The objective is, with a few pre-placed numbers; solve the puzzle so that in every row and column, there are the numbers 1 to 9, and also each of the 9 separate boxes. Sounds difficult? To some extend it’s challenging. That is probably why I’m stuck doing as many as I can. Hahaha…
Anyway, this week passed more eventfully then the last. It had something to do with my ankle getting better. I am now able to walk about wearing a brace comfortably. Last week I had the brace, but after a short walk the pain would become unbearable. Started venturing to the coffee shop opposite my house for food on Thurs, before going to the market near my place for breakfast on Sat. My leg felt good enough for me to go for the gay bash organised by the gang on Tues.
Gay Bash
The occasional gay bash has been held once again. It’s the time where the gang, consisting of guys from my sec sch plus 2 other guys from bball, hold a BBQ at one of our places. The whole bunch of us will go shopping for chicken wings, sausages, sotong, etc. for the bbq bringing it back to marinade for a few hrs before the event. The “gourmet chefs” amongst us will then do the marinating, whilst the cooking crew will gather round the nearest computer or PS2 for entertainment. With CW just returning from Taiwan, we got to enjoy a couple of treats that he brought back with him from there. The one worth of mention was the lor egg that he brought. It was hard, could even manage a bounce, and if u sat on it, it would not have given way. But it tasted nice, surprisingly.
We all waited for TYY to come over from reservist briefing that he had earlier in the day, before making our way down to the pit. When TYY came, he was wearing the hot camouflage No. 4 uniform, so he borrowed this grey sleeveless tee from KW. But when he wore it, with his No. 4 pants and boots, he looked just like a terrorist, short of a turban and AK-47 rifle. Haha… We were joking later that if he took a bag and “planted” it in view of the security camera, the guards were sure to come running.
The cooks for our gay bash need training, because the first few rounds of food came out very well done. It came cooked to a crisp, black as ash in most places. Hahaha… It got better later, thankfully.
The pics for the event are all with CW and KW, I’ll see if I can get some.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ya and before I forget, I got new fridges this week, after the door of my old one fell off. Literary. I got photos of that, courtesy of my brother once he passes them to me. I think that will conclude my entry for this past week. Going to Mun Yee’s BBQ on Sat. 4 guys and all gals… hmmm… wonder how that will turn out. Till then. Ciao.

Truth?
I was reading Jeannie’s blog just now and she was saying something on what is being said on blogs, that they are mostly not the truth, and not always honest. I would say that I have felt that way about blogging and most of my enteries are sanitised before getting published, because saying the raw truth out and possibly offending someone publicly is not probably the thing that I want to do anytime soon.
I know sometimes people would tell you not to care; be yourself; say what has to be said, may it cause hurt but because of it being the truth, you have done nothing wrong and are a better friend by saying so, so at least the person is aware. I would say to those ppl, that there are 2 sides to every coin; and that if ppl would be so blunt all the time, we probably would be fighting most, if not all of the time.
I’ve had my share of blunt friends, who would not hesitate to scold or tell you off if they find something not right, but it is sometimes hard for one to accept the truth, even though they know that it is being said for their own good. I’ve felt those were better friends, having never needing to guess what they were thinking or feeling, it was right out there for all to see. But at the same time, friendships were also lost because of excessive frankness.
Yes, I believe in telling the person. But I will only if I know that person is willing to take in what I am about to say, not to listen to pacify me, and surely not to outright reject what is said because of face or pride. And also I believe that in such instances, tact would be in order. Pulling someone to a corner and telling them privately, will always better that splashing it all over a blog like a tabloid newspaper. Even if you do not name the person outright, there will be surely those who can roughly tell who it is that you are talking about.
Telling someone the truth is not easy, but the easy way of saying it on your blog isn’t always better. Putting it on a blog is sometimes like finding out the truth through gossip, or waiting till one has an audience around you before blurting it out. It’s also probably why the pen is mightier than the sword.
So with that I say, don’t take everything you read to heart, and don’t over-read what is written. Just my 2 bits. No hidden clues, no fake meanings. Ciao!

A short post
I’ve officially spent 8 days and 8 nights at home and trust me it’s not that easy… the boredom of staying at home all the time for so long should be labelled hazardous or something, because it can kill… watch tv, read, play computer games; repeat. Break for meals and the occasional rest. For your info, the school hols might be here… but day time tv still sucks, big time. Argh! I’m going crazy soon if I don’t start getting out of the house! Now I also truly know what it is like to be a fish in a tank, spending your whole day in the same place swimming around in circles, doing the same thing day in and day out, watching the world go by. It’s a sad life. I need some proper entertainment! Some one come and entertain me pls. And no, chimpanzees aren’t good entertainment. Especially that bald chimpanzee, I shan’t be naming name(s). Hahaha… you know who you are. And Jeannie, pls remember to pass the chimp her banana for me.
Ok, I’m done ranting for today, and btw, the tag board is changed so feel free to tag! There is no free read, tag ppl tag!

Crippled
I’ve been having an okay week this week, getting a guard duty on Sun, going on off on Mon, and off again on Wed, ensuring that I worked only a 3 day week this week. If only every week was like that. On top of that, I got a new pet in the form of a python that they caught walking in the airfield after the rain on wed. On second thought, if they caught me a python every week, I would be running Singapore’s next snake/python park. I’ll take the 3 day work week only minus the python. One is good enough. All went well, with flying being pretty acceptable this week, not too overloaded.
Then came Sat, had a lot of chores planned to be done. Went for basketball first in the morning, which was fun. I was finally getting a larger portion of my shots into the basket, when I was jumping for the ball, and came down hard and landed wrongly, hurting my ankle. I can say that single moment really spoilt the rest of my weekend; one was because I ended up spending the rest of my Sat in the hospital waiting for my name to be called.
I headed home after the injury to take a bath before making my way to NUH. I started to regret that decision quickly after I arrived. The persons manning the door were very nice, and so were most of the staff. But I must say, the staff apart from the doctors, were majority foreigners for some strange reason. All the reports on large uptake of nursing courses have suddenly seemed to be but a dream. The cute part was at triage, where I was attended to by a nurse. The nurse was not cute; it was the way she did things. She first hooked me up to a blood pressure/heart rate machine, then after determining that my ankle was injured, asked me to remove my shoes whilst still connected to the machine, an impossible task, unless I was going to drag the machine to the floor by its short wires. The next thing was even cuter. She took my temperature, then after continuing her examination for a while, asked me if I had a fever! I felt like saying: “Hello~, you took my temperature and after taking it can have the cheek to ask me if I’m having a fever???” But all the pain did not manage to get me fired up enough for me to say that, and I decided to let it go and tell her No.
After all the checks were done, I was informed that there was a small bone fragment in my ankle, and so my leg is now in a splint, at least for the next week or so, effectively making me crippled. In case you don’t know what a splint is, think of it as a cast, with only the back being hard and the rest made out of bandage. I will upload a pic. once I get hardworking. Hee… Got myself a pair of crutches, and trust me when I say that getting around with those things, is not an easy task. I’m literary hopping everywhere I go. It is a pretty tiring affair, what used to be a short 30sec walk can take me up to 2-3 mins, that is if the floor is flat. Taking a bath is also a pain, with a plastic bag taped around my leg because the splint cannot get wet. Try hopping on a wet surface; you’ll get a rough idea. Sleeping is another thing. It is simply not possible without the assistance of pain killers, and even taking the pain killers, I still get up in the middle of the night.
Anyway, I’m on an 8 day MC, so I don’t expect for anything exciting to be happening anytime soon. Till the next time. Ciao.
Haven't Been Blogging
I haven’t been blogging lately, due to the fact that I’ve been working the late shift recently. Although I start late, its usually due to the fact that I actually worked till quite late the day before. Another reason is that I’m getting to plain lazy to blog. Hahaha… There has been a recent hype on bloggers again, with the more famous few making comments on sensitive issues and throwing everybody back into the spotlight. Now there’s hottest blogger, not due to the content of their blogs, but now, that the blogger is pretty! That and the accompanying debate on whether she’s really a beauty, or just plastic. Hmmm… How can people dare call Singaporeans uncreative? They are cleverly creating jobs for the media people to work on. Smart eh? I think so too. I wonder when this craze dies down a bit what or who will be the next target.
Anyway, there was this funny incident that one of my camp mates caused, between him and some Arabian looking man. It’s a wonder that he didn’t get complained about. 3 of us were walking out from camp, crossing the road outside camp actually, when this Arabian looking man in a Middle Eastern outfit, head dress and all, driving a Honda Odyssey, pulled to a halt at the red light crossing that we were using. Knowing when to keep your mouth shut is obviously a lesson that this camp mate should learn, because when he saw this Arabian looking man, he gestured to my friend and said: “eh, Osama leh!” Both of us already saw him and noted the striking resemblance, but we didn’t say anything because we had also noticed that he was driving with the window of his car wound down. And that big mouth failed to notice this till after he said the Osama part, only to realise that the man’s elbow was actually protruding out from the car’s window. Not only that, but he also said it loud enough, so much so the Arabian looking man heard it! I was trying to control my laughter and put on a poker face, but when we walked pass the car, the man grinned at that idiot and said: “Osama eh?” With that, the rest of us burst out laughing. Mr. Big Mouth was immediately apologetic, but the rest of us really couldn’t stop laughing. What’s the moral of the story? Look before you speak! Hahahaha…
On a more sombre note, as of today, my com is dead. RIP. I am now blogging from my lappy. Not dead as in dead dead, to be scraped dead, more of like out of commission dead. The power supply blew again, how and why, I might never know. It just up and died. Hoping that the 3 year warranty on it works out, and I get a one to one exchange. Have to get down to the tedious task of ripping it out from my com first. Also, my blog’s shoutbox seems to be acting up recently again, and I am simply fed up with it. As of now, I am on the hunt for a new shoutbox. Any recommendations people? For now, guess you all will have to make do with the comments system by Haloscan. I hope that doesn’t die on me too.
I got a million things running through my mind right now, but most I most likely won’t put into words here, not for the moment at least. Too many fragments of too many thoughts. Till the next time I decide to blog. Ciao!

Rotting Week
I’ve been meaning to blog this whole week, but I got so pissed by the planning this week and decided to catch up on more sleep and rotting.
What has gotten me fuming was that this week was supposed to be a long holiday for me, Monday do guard duty, then Tues holiday, Wed applied for off, Thurs holiday once again and Fri off again. That was the planning I had from October.
Then came the first blow, the idiot planning the guard duty does it anyhow, and when people ask why he planned it this way, his reply is that it’s a random thing. When people apply for off and leave, it is stated in the attendance book for all to see. He can plan it till people on leave can be on standby, and people like me, who are on off can be on guard duty. Ok, nvm, Fri I will do guard. Which brings me to another question: How can there be so many guard teams, and I can get guard twice a week? Ans? It’s random. That is really irritating answer, and it’s one that everyone gets. Well the next time he needs help that’s the answer I’ll give him, I randomly choose not to help. Tough luck.
Then the second blow, on Mon they say that too many people are on leave and that my off is cancelled. Why would u allow half the sqn to go on leave then fail to inform anyone and have heavy flying on a day when no one wants to come back? But then, that is the way they work.
So with these 2 blows, there goes my long weekend. Haiz. Even the pilots are complaining, but even they can’t do anything. So everybody “LL” goes back to work. Till the next time I feel like blogging.

The end is here
I haven’t been blogging over the past week or so because I’ve taken a little trip to hell and just got back. Figuratively speaking, of course. This past week has been audit week, with the preparations really taking their toll on me. Things are suddenly in one big mess, standards and practices that were norm are now deemed unlawful and have to be changed; changes and radical ideas are hastily implemented; “holes” have to be dug to cover up all the “extra” items that have appeared over the years; documents suddenly need to meet new standards that were never in place before. All for one big show for the auditors who are simply clueless like walking question marks. They poke here and there, trying to find discrepancies that have not been adequately covered up. Bur more or less, there is simply nothing much to find. And to accomplish this inhumanly feat, I and the rest of my compatriots, have been working 12, 13, even 14 hour shifts. There was once, I started work at 5 in the morning and didn’t end till about 6 in the evening! And the next day was no different. So obviously, if everyone is running ragged, there will be those who will fall sick. So as the week progressed, more and more people started going down. I lasted till Wed before going down. There were quite a number who weren’t far behind.
Well the comforting part is that I managed to get my off for Friday approved, and used it to learn driving. Went all out this time and took a 2 hr lesson. I went about the U-turn course before proceeding to my 1st lesson on performing a 3-point turn. Looks easy? Hardly. The illegal 3-point turns done with lots of space, with a slot or lot at one side don’t count. Using only a 2 lane road, and with those 2 lanes of space alone, do a 3-point turn to face the car in the opposite direction. Rules are, that if any part of the car, may it be wheel or bumper, touch the curb, it would be considered an unsuccessful turn. Not much space to work with. Well, I gotta work on that. On the brighter note, my general driving has improved quite a lot, although my U-turn still needs improvement. At this rate by test day I should be good to go!

Beginning of the End?
It’s been a week since I last blogged, and it has been a slow week. My Sat was spent playing basketball as usual, but this time we started by playing full court. There were some young funks that were there when we got there, and they joined us for a few games, with the amount of people there; we had to play full court. It was a tiring few games, running up and down the court. I usually lingered behind most of the action, seldom venturing far from the centre line of the court in case I had to run back and intercept the ball. After that few games, it started drizzling pretty hard, and with the sun out at the same time, we decided to stop playing. When we resumed play, enough players left for us to change it back to a half-court game. A few more games later, the new additions completely left, and the fun finally started. We continued to play till about 1+ before calling it a day. After going for lunch with Ben, Yun and CW, made my way home where I fell asleep till about 5. That pretty much ended my Sat.
I had to wake up early on Sun to go for my driving lesson in the morning. Counting on the fact that I usually get to sleep in on Sun, it was a pretty hard thing to do. Waking up I then realised that I had strained my back from the basketball game on the previous day and it was pretty stiff. Went for my driving anyway, and sitting down and controlling a car, didn’t really affect me much. Managed to perfect my U-turning technique and the next lesson I will be learning how to do a 3-point turn. Whee… It will be the first time that I would be using the reverse gear. But that will have to wait as my Sqn is having its audit next week and I cannot take any off to learn driving. And, to top off the bad news, Sat should be a flying day for the Sqn, meaning that I will have to go back! Sianz… And if this isn’t bad enough, there is news to prepare to work 12 hr days from tomorrow onwards till the audit starting on Mon. Haiz… So if you realise that I seem to be increasingly absent, you know why.
Anyway, I got to go play my last game of Counterstrike: Source for the rest of the week. Till the next time.

Slow Week
After blogging all this while, I have finally arrived at a stumbling block in blogging: Nothing exciting to write about. Yes, I like many other people are leading a some what boring life. Doing NS doesn’t help. Trust me. If it’s exciting, but it has some link to what I am doing in camp, then it is best to leave it there and not write anything about it. This is to prevent people from knocking at my door in the middle of the night. So counting that I spend a large part of my time in camp, it leaves me with this stumbling block of what to write. And the title doesn’t really help either. I’ve been cracking my brain more and more over the title, than what is actually said in the entry itself. Are these recipes for disaster? I surely hope not. So as long as I continue rambling here, I hope that you continue reading.
This week passed pretty quickly, because of the Sembawang Air Base Anniversary celebrations. Friday was the celebrations, with an outing to Safra Yishun to have the standard bowling competitions, along with the air-rifle and LAN competitions. Sounds like fun? I thought so too. The day didn’t exactly start very well, because when I reached Northpoint Mac to meet some of my camp buddies in the awful looking squadron T-shirt, only to be informed that I was supposed to bring along a polo tee for a dinner in the evening. After much deliberation, I decided to buy one instead of going all the way home to get one. So after lunch, Stanley and I set out to buy a polo tee. After searching through the whole of Northpoint, we finally ended up at Hang-Ten. I bought 2 polo tees for $26, because all the shops seem to have this promotion of charging u almost ½ price for a piece if u bought 2 or 3. Like the one from Hang-Ten was $23 each, but went @ $13 apiece if I bought 2. So I bought 2, and since Stanley already had his polo, I bought both for myself. Once I had bought my tee, we met up with the rest of them and took a ride to Safra.
Safra was pretty nice, and within walking distance to Yishun MRT. Makes me wonder why after holding on to the safra card for so long, I never went to make use of the place. Maybe it’s because that the card doesn’t give much discount! All the prices in there didn’t have a member price, so now I’m wondering why I pay $3 a month for the card. Yes, it’s not free. Well, the competitions started and people like me, who didn’t join anything, were all left there drifting around. And lucky I didn’t. Some of them who joined the LAN competition got really fuming mad when after waiting for their round for 2 hrs, were told there was not enough time for them to play and that they were eliminated. To make matters worse, there was a lot of time leftover, they just didn’t want to conduct it.
Meanwhile, 2 of my campmates and I, stole off to Northpoint for some entertainment. We ended up spending most of our time playing the arcade. When time was about up, we made our way back and slipped back into the crowd. While mingling around, saw my S1 standing and staring across the road. Jokingly asked her what she was guarding, and she told me she saw 2 guys slipping out and crossing the road to go buy something opposite Safra and asked me if I knew who they were. I replied her casually: “I don’t know, I just came back from Northpoint myself so I didn’t see anything.” The stunned look on her face was worth a thousand words sia. I believe that she thought that everyone stayed around and that we were having a good time. Haha… If she only knew that we weren’t the only ones there. Haha…
Proceeded to change out of my horrible squadron t-shirt and into my polo tee before boarding the bus back to camp. The celebrations in camp consisted of performances by the Music and Drama Company, and a buffet. Most of us were interested in the free-flow beer that came with the buffet and the buffet itself of course. We came out with a strategy of 8 people sitting at the table going for the 8 different food points giving out different food. Then bring it back to the table and repeating till the table was full. It worked out perhaps a bit too well, with all of us getting stuffed silly at the end of the day. One of my friends even got drunk on the free flow beer. Then he left before us and started messaging us weird stuff. Haha… I don’t think he can remember doing that. Poor guy was totally wasted. I made my way home at about 9+, completely stuffed but sober.
Saturday was spent playing basketball with the gang at Gombak. We played 4 vs. 3 till about 10, before KW decided to make his appearance. Continued playing till it rained at 11. Once the rain died down, all these basketball crazy fools started to play in the rain. It was pretty funny, playing unable to run much, scared to jump and passing most of the time since bouncing at certain areas of the court was impossible. And there were the water effects while we played. Concluded our game once the rain stopped and KW got hungry. I skipped lunch with them, because I had lunch waiting for me at home.
The rest of my weekend was pretty much spent playing CS and sleeping. Managed to help my mom make Tiramisu! Haha… Yummy treat! But that is for another time. This is making me crave for a piece. Off to get one! Ciao~

Rain
It has been a long time since I’ve blogged…again. Been pretty busy in camp lately, doing guard for people twice during the week. 2X a week in a span of less than 5 days. As most of u have realised, it’s been raining almost every other day for the past 2 weeks. This is good news for me if I was at home with no where to go, but when I’m in camp, it means that the shift will be getting extended. But on the upside of things, after Friday’s rain, I think my camp just got a new “swimming pool”! Hahaha… don’t think I want to go swimming there any time soon.
Doing NS is getting kind of boring, doing the same things everyday in a different order. I’m starting to feel that my brain is slowly beginning to reduce to a puddle of unusable muck. Argh! I see the effects happening now. At this rate, I don’t know what state I’ll be in by the time I ORD.
Anyway, on another note, if u have been reading the newspapers this past week or so, you would have noticed the increasing articles about organisations trying to regulate what people can and cannot say on their blogs. I agree that racist remarks are really too much, but personal opinions on people, are considered flaming. Even the schools, the institutions that are supposed to educate, are getting to it, using hard tactics to force people to close their blogs, remove post. The next thing you will see will be the influx of anonymous blogs, publishing even worst stuff, with new ones popping up each day.
If what is being said is really totally untrue, and written with malicious intent, then perhaps you have grounds to request that some action be taken by the person who wrote it. But if it’s just something that you don’t want to hear, then is it grounds to use such means to suppress it? Then if I were to feel someone is an ass, a big one at that, and were to write it down then I’m wrong. If it was that way, then controversial writers would all disappear, be suppressed and all that you read and hear would be the things all buttered and sugared up to please the person who’s concern. I predict the end of free press if this goes on too long. All hail those who write bluntly then.

Pika pika!
Haven't blogged in the past few days due to guard duty wearing me down. Was guard on Fri and then again on Mon! It’s a draining vicious cycle. Sat morning after I got off guard at 9am, rushed home to get a change of clothes before heading out to join CW and gang for a couple of games of bball. By the time I got there it was almost 11! Played a couple of games before we split, with Ben, Yun and me heading for lunch and the rest making their way home. Jun and Kang didn’t join us, with Kang down with a fever. CW was joking about Kang getting dengue… haha. Not sure about Jun’s excuse though. Reached home after lunch, took a bath, and then started reading the papers. Made it about halfway through before I found myself sound asleep. And that scene kept repeating itself for the whole weekend, when ever I touched something soft enough to slp on, I would just knock off. I still don’t know why. And when I want to slp at night, the sun burn keeps me awake. It’s better now, and I’m back to slping regular hours.
Mon came sooner than it was supposed to, and did guard again. While in camp, I got news that ‘Pikachu’ started a blog! The horrors! And what does he post on that blog? The reporting time of the squadron. And nothing else. The next thing I would expect him to do is search for someone to update that blog everyday. The concept is good, 3 cheers for that. Now you can check your reporting time everyday, at anytime of the day. But surely, there is definitely something better to use than a blog! But if I go back to camp and open my big mouth (Which I won’t BTW), I would end up doing everything for him at no cost to or reward from him, and will most ultimately end up being the nut job, who has to update it for him everyday. Well, NOT OVER MY DEAD BODY. So my lips are sealed. As long as I stay clear of updating that blog at least. One blog is hard enough to maintain. And for those who are still wondering who is ‘Pikachu’, he is none other than my incek/woic. When he comes around lightning shoots about like when you let Pikachu out of his pokemon ball. Which reminds me… anyone got a pokemon ball to spare? I need a big one! Heh heh heh…
Today got off guard at 10am. Major communications breakdown in camp. Was supposed to do servicing, leaving all the refuelling to the spare men. Did them a favour, got a team mate to walk back to the sqn to get the bowser test kit for them to use. In the end, had to do all the refuelling ourselves, and after that get ticked off for being late to do the paperwork! Sian. Well, all in a day’s work. Nothing new there.
I went home to rest a while, before rushing out to meet Audrey for lunch. Got there late due to transport being hell, I had to wait at least 6-7min per transfer, so I waited more than I travelled. Sorry Aud. Anyway, when I got there, I found out that she seems to be on a diet. Lucky she didn’t ask me the dreaded question… “Do you think I look fat?” Because if she did, I wouldn’t be blogging now. Probably would have ended up in pieces all over Singapore. Heehee… Went for driving afterwards, and realised at the end of the lesson, that 3 weeks of not having lessons and my driving somewhat rusty. Managed to get it tuned back into working order by the end of the lesson thankfully. I wonder how long I can sustain 1 week/lesson. Hopefully till my test in Feb. That is if my off clears. Hopefully. Pretty shagged now, so I shall stop here. Ciao!

Lousy Week
This week has been a lousy week for me.
It all started on Mon, which saw rain making me stay in camp till about 11 pm although I was supposed to end at 6 pm. On top of that, I got drenched from standing in the middle of the airfield when it began to rain heavily. Then later when the rain subsided, I went out for servicing, only for the rain to fall again the moment I got there and was ½ way through my servicing. When I closed and packed everything up and moved back to the hangar for shelter, it was still raining. But after running in the rain back to the squadron building, it stopped raining a short while later. I was then told to go back out and continue my servicing. When I made my way out there again, the same thing happened. Only this time, it came just after I arrived at the aircraft and removed the covers. Replaced the covers in the rain, before making my way into the hangar. A short while after reaching the hangar it rain stopped. Completed that servicing and went back to the squadron, only to find out I had a hotwash just added to my task. When I went out there, it looked like the weather was going to hold, but I was wrong again. Just as the aircrafts were arriving back, the rain started pouring again. Got completely drenched once again. That thunderstorm lasted till about 8pm before I could go out again. I managed to complete my servicing just as the rain started the drizzle down again. High tailed out of the airfield before it started pouring again.
Tues and Wed wasn’t much better, although it didn’t rain, I seemed to keep forgetting things. It was either forgetting to latch things up, or getting more than my fair share of things to do. Wed was particularly bad, firstly with getting my off on Thurs cancelled, and secondly with me forgetting to get a receipt from the cab I took home. Was so tired that it completely slipped my mind. Argh!
I thought maybe I still could squeeze my driving lesson into Thurs morning, but it was not to be. There was no more available space for me with the instructor. Sad. I’m hoping the rest of my day goes better, but I’m doing night shift today although I got to report early tml for guard. Sianz… Sometimes the more I stay in the squadron, the more I don’t feel like doing it anymore. And I’m not the only one to feel this way. But I got no choice. 1 year 2 days to ORD! I’m starting to count le. I got to make my way to camp now. Ciaoz.

NDP & Moon Cakes
Looking at the title, most of you must be wondering what link is there between NDP and moon cakes. Hmmm… Think carefully… It’s a close link… Can’t think of any? Then in that case you are right! There is absolutely no link. Haha... It’s just another case of me not being able to find the time at the time to update.
NDP
There was a NDP function at ADSD in Yishun on Thursday. It was a tea buffet with a certificate presentation in the specialist mess. It was a quiet affair, with all of us catching up with each other. There was free beer and wine along with the buffet, that was drunk mostly by the inceks and more senior personnel. I took a glass of red wine, and I must say, it was pretty good, abet a little strong on the alcohol. Then a while later, during the certificate presentation, MAJ Pang was saying, “See you all in 2007!” With that all the 124 personnel said “ORD lo…!” and instantly got daggers shot at us from all the regulars… Heehee…After the presentation of the certificates, it marked an end for the NDP. Its been fun while it lasted, even though my Sat were burned. There may be a chance to do it again next year, counting that my squadron is commercialising next year, and I’ll be out of a job to do. But that we’ll have to see. =)
Moon Cakes
My whole weekend was spent at home this week. It would be a pretty sad thing except it was spent helping in the making of moon cakes for the upcoming Latern Festival. When you actually have a hand in making it, you would then realise how come shops are selling the moon cakes for up to $8 a piece. It is actually not that expensive to make, but it’s a whole lot of work. From preparing the filling to the dough itself, everything has to be done with precision, or else the moon cake would not come out good. Afterwards, the moon cake has to be pressed and knocked out of the mould, before it is baked in a three step process. Its hard work, but getting to eat it after that makes it all worth while. I got to try one after making everything, with the rest being kept till the lantern festival comes around. =p…. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Can’t wait for the lantern festival to come around liao… the wait is agonising. Off to play some games to get my mind off mooncakes. Till next time then. Ciao.

Comex!
For the benefit of those who didn’t know, Comex 2005 was in town this weekend. And since I’ve been scouting around for a printer to replace my present one which died on me the last time I tried to print, and has remain dead since. May it rest in pieces.
So I braved the crowd and went on Sat. For those who have played pinball before, you would suddenly gain an sudden insight into what the ball feels like in the game. It was like being a sardine in a can of many more sardines squeezing about. Then once in the crowd, you get bumped and pushed around (hence, the pinball), so there was little need for actual walking. I think that I’ve never seen so many people cluster at a single location except at these computer fairs. A lot of people are like me, going there to scout for good deals, but whether they buy anything in the end, is a totally different issue altogether. Checked out all the deals from printers to digital cameras, some of them were amazingly good. However, guess what? I didn’t buy anything in the end. I was scouting for a Canon printer that had caught my eye sometime back and when I went there, they told me that it was not a focus model and they did not bring it to the show. Then they were trying to sell a lower end model very hard, with the sales personnel constantly pushing me to buy it. I wondered why till later when my mom told me that her colleague, who used to work for one of the companies there, told her that the tactic was that they would try to push the models that were soon to be replaced by something newer so as to clear all the available stock. Good if the one that they are trying to clear is the one that you want or it suits your needs. Sometimes though, these hard-sell tactics are a great turn-off if done improperly, like in this case where by every other sentence out of the salesman’s mouth was about the lower end one which I told him that I wasn’t interested in. Talk about die hard fanatic.
Next, I went over to check their rival, HP. There I saw a pretty good deal, a printer with about what I was looking for at $200 off! That made that $499 printer slightly less than $300. But what made me pop was actually the price of the cartridge refill. One was another cool $50 apiece. That would cost me about $100 a set of refills, 1/3 the price of the printer itself! Thought of buying it anyway, because I’d found a company that sells a kit to refill the original cartridge at a fraction of the original price. Decided against it later after going home. The decision went to buying new cartridges for a somewhat new printer from my brother, and later buying the refilling kit to last me till my NS is over at least. Cost effective solution, which almost cost me as much as the lower end Canon printer! ($39 to be exact.) Hmm… maybe not the cheapest, but still the most cost effective.
I went back to Comex to make this purchase the next day, with TYY joining me this time round. He drove us there, but when we got there we almost regretted that decision. Parking was hell in the area, with all the car-parks in the area being full. We managed to get a place at Marina Square eventually. Went to look for his friend who was working in the Giant there before going to join the crowd at Suntec. By the time we got there it was almost 4pm! (We went out at 2pm btw)He was looking to buy a wireless router to allow his laptop to share his internet connection. He bought the router from Linksys, whilst trying to get the salesgirl’s number at the same time. Haha… The end results? My lips are sealed. Ask him yourself. After getting all the things that we were intending to get, we decided to call it a day and went home. I must say, it is extremely tiring affair to go Comex.
On another note, Chiang Wei’s birthday is tomorrow, so

Short Week
This week was a somewhat short one. Wed has no flying for some unknown reason, so I used the day to do my secondary appointment. Went to do a fleet check, it took from 8 in the morning to about 3 in the late afternoon. Missed my lunch, but for some weird reason, took tea-break at 10, something that I very rarely do. Guess it was a good thing, because by the time that I came up from the airfield, all the lunch was gone. Eaten or tossed.
I was hoping to get early off after doing the fleet check, it was cleared with my IC before I started work, but as usual, got played out and had to stay till about 7 before getting released. But spending the whole day in the sun took its toll, feeling a bit feverish, pretty sun-burnt, and with a headache, took an MC the next day. The next day happened to be RSD or RSAF Safety Day, but better known as Report Sick Day. What coincidence! Hahaha… I spent the rest of that day resting and relaxing, resting more though, because the medicine knocked me out cold.
The next day was squadron family day, so I went for a driving lesson before making my way to Orchid County Club to play bowling as part of the family day. I must say, its been a long time since I went bowling, and I cannot bowl 2 slots per game for 3 games. Why 2 slots? Because of a certain someone, who put his name there and ran off to hell knows where. So ended up playing for him too… And he actually outscored me! Or rather I out scored myself. Sad right? I seem to be able to play better when the name there isn’t mine. But it also could be that his name was before mine.
After resting for about an hour waiting for the games to end and the prize giving ceremony, a couple of my friends and I decided to adjourn to the pool place below the bowling alley for pool. We played till about 7pm before going for dinner at Crystal Jade Ramen at Northpoint. The food there was delicious! The ramen came in bowls that were bigger than my hand. Everyone ordered a different type of ramen, and all gave it 2 thumbs up. And the xiao long pau, outstanding! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The ambience of the place was also nice, tucked away in a corner; it had a warm and bright decor, and was comfortable, without all the loud chatter that some Chinese restaurants have. The prices were also pretty affordable. I would recommend this restaurant! Kudos to Dy EO for his recommendation of the place!

Haven't really had the time to sit down and blog for the past few days, so I'm going to do so now.
Friday 26th August
Took today off because of my advanced theory test in the afternoon. In the morning, woke up late for my driving lesson. Rushed all the way down and managed to make it there with 1 minute to spare. Talk about being on the dot! I then took the usual drive to the Boon Lay area to practice the turns and starts. It’s quite intimidating at times to drive around the Boon Lay area due to all the big trucks around. They are always impatient, and when they overtake you, they pass very close. It could be due to their size, but stay clear of me! Shoo! Haha~… Slowly getting used the having them around, though there are still the very unwelcoming aggressive ones that would flash their lights and horn at me. I feel blessed that I would not need to drive around here during the test. I surely hope that Bukit Batok is better than Boon Lay. Anyway, after I finished my lesson, wanted to meet Audrey for lunch, but decided against it after browsing through my theory book. There was suddenly a lot of things in the book that I do not recall reading before! Took one look and the words “Die liao” came to mind.
So I rushed home to cram for the test later that day. And I’m glad that I did. Went for the test, and some of the things that I’d just discovered came out in the questions. And since the test is now computerised, I got my results instantly too… and… *drum roll*
Whee! One more hurdle cleared in my quest to get a driving license! The rest of the day was spent with me playing Need For Speed: Underground 2 as part of the celebrations. How befitting? =p
Saturday, 27th August
Met the gang for basketball in the morning today. But as usual, all were late. We were supposed to meet at 8, but by the time I got there it was almost 8.45. And poor TYY was playing chauffer to Chiang Wei. Started playing and not too long after we started, was Chiang Wei knocked out with an injury to his ankle. The coincidental thing was that the moment that Chiang Wei got injured, the Stranger showed up. Was it pure coincidence or was he waiting for a slot to open? Haha... And it doesn’t end there! Later in the day, he also got an ankle injury! *pengz* Guess replacing CW wasn’t such a good thing. We played back to back game with only a short break in between. No need to say that by the end of the day, I got sunburnt.
Halfway while playing, a volleyball team moved in around us and the ball started to go out of play more often, with TYY going to pick the ball up more often. Haha… We ended our game at about 12, with TYY graciously sending most of us home. Thanks dude.
The rest of my day was spent mostly continuing my celebrations for passing by playing, none other than Need For Speed. Now you know why I didn’t have time to blog.
Sunday 28th August
Spent most of the day helping my dad put up some shelves. The rest of the day was spent cleaning my room. The funny thing about the dust in my room was that the dust seems to stick to the floor. I wonder why. Vacuuming seems to get most of it out but there are the mutated dusts that only come off when I mopped it. Hope my room stays this clean for some time. Haha…
Monday 29th August
Went to camp at the unearthly hour of 6 am! It’s a Monday leh! But bo pian. The only comfort was that I could take a cab to camp and claim it later. Managed to get off at about 2.30 pm, went home to catch up on my sleep.

Boring Week
It’s been a pretty wet week. The good part has been that I’ve not seen any hint of the haze. The bad part is that it always rains when I don’t want it to. Like when I want to go home from camp. I’m starting to feel that the cloud seeding in Indonesia is being done in the wrong area. Hmm… Don’t believe that Aug is a rainy season, but rainy beats hot and humid any day.
My week has been pretty much the same day in day out. Went shopping for a new haversack on Sat due to my old one giving out some funny black stuff that sticks to whatever I place inside. It has been doing that for sometime, but I finally decided that I have had enough of it. Sun slept late and by the time I woke up, it was lunch time. Went out for lunch, before following my mom to Ikea to get some shelves. That took up most of my day. Got back and decided to pack my room a bit, but it still looks pretty bad. Didn’t have time to complete the packing, so now my room has gone from a post-typhoon look, to a still-in-construction look. An improvement by me, but still pretty bad it seems. Hahaa…
Stopping all my packing temporary due to the fact that I have to study for my advanced theory test on Fri. Still don’t quite get what questions that they could ask from the book, so if any of you have taken the test already, care to give me an insight? I would really appreciate it.
Back to studying now before I make my way to camp. Ciao~

Sianz~
My Sat passed pretty uneventfully, although I almost went for a basketball game that the guys cancelled due to the lack of people and forgot to inform me of this new development. So there I was, about to go out of the door, I msged TYY to tell him that I might not make it in time. He gave me a call just in the nick of time, with me having one foot out the door. It’s a lucky thing that he woke up, because apparently, he was still asleep when my msg went through. Tks TYY.
Later in the day, wondering how come there was no call from the sqn regarding my shift timing for mon, I decided to call back only to discover that I was doing guard duty on Sun! Bummer! Prior to that call I was still thinking of who was going to Daniel’s farewell party in case I was left there with no one but Daniel and Audrey. But alas, it wasn’t meant to be. Sorry Dan, duty called.
It’s pretty demoralising to be waking up at 6.30 to go for breakfast before heading to camp on a Sun. Doing that on a Mon is bad enough, but doing something like that on a Sun, totally saddening. To top it off, I have to walk all the way into camp, without any hope of a lift from the people driving into camp due to the simple fact that there is no one else going to camp. The good part is that I need not change to coveralls when I get there. The whole day I could wear whatever I pleased because Sun is considered silent hours. The whole day was spent playing PS2 and Chinese chess save for the occasional phone call back to the sqn. Since the 1st shift on Mon was to start at the unearthly hour of 6, couldn’t sleep late. After doing the required servicing, I got the rest of the day off. But due to paperwork and the damn bowser, got delayed till 11 am before I could leave. Lucky I got a ride out this time round.
When home to sleep, and decided against going down earlier to Jurong to find Aud for lunch because 2 more hours of sleep was too good to pass up this time round. When for my driving lesson later in the evening in the area. After the lesson, it was back home to sleep, round 2. Woke up for dinner, den after watching TV and chatting online, went for round 3 of sleep.
The rest of the week has been the usual, go to camp, do work, go home, sleep and repeat. Doing afternoon shift these few days, so I won’t be online anytime before 12am, save for the mornings before I go to camp.
It’s time for me to go to camp again. Ciao.

Relaxing One Corner
As I've mentioned before, I've been off for the past few days. Spent these 2 days learning driving and catching up with friends, but besides that, I've been spending most of my time catching up on sleep, and computer games... I never realised how deprived I was of sleep till now, where with no fixed time to wake up let me sleep late into the morning. Feels great sia... too bad it has to come to an end soon.
On another note, tommorrow is going to be the first Sat in a very long time whereby I need not wake up early in the morning, don my uniform/red t-shirt and pants, and going to move water and food. Somehow, after doing it for so many months, I've finally got the hang of it and its over. Wonder how it would feel, having my Saturdays for me to do whatever I want to do with it...
Anyway, my tagboard doesn't seem to be behaving this week, and I'm still pretty clueless at what seems to be causing it to act the way it is, so I've upgraded my comments system. So use that if you are having trouble wif e tag.
*Note to Ms. Confused (you should know who you are), it takes one to know one. The walls that you build can come down, no matter how perfect it is. Its a matter of whether you want to let anyone chip at the wall, without you repairing it. A smiling face is just a mask that you wear so that you do not have to show the world your true feelings, but its a mask that you have grown so attached to, you feel that cannot live without it. Let the people around you see past the mask, and allow someone to make a door in the wall that surrounds you.

National Day!
Yesterday was National Day, and the final time I had to go down to Marina Promenade to do ration and support. It was a proud day, to be instrumental in the success of the parade, but also a sad day. It’s the last time that I will be seeing most of the people that I have been working side by side or with for the past 6 months. Whilst a large number of the ration and support are from Sembawang Airbase the others who are not, the chances of meeting them again are slim. This would also mark the end of my off collection. And since I’ve been using my off to learn my driving, I got to start using the off much more carefully from now on.
Also don’t get to see the cute girls every week too… Now it’s a question on whether they want to see me. Haha… And in case the cute girls don’t know who they are… they are Amelia, Kelly, and Paullyn. I know that I said you gals were not the only bunch of girls at the NDP, but yes you are the cutest ones. I still don’t have the picture yet, they are all still on a dSLR belonging to Mr Foo. But since he doesn’t know this blog exist (I sure hope not), I shan’t drop any hints here. Haha…
Going home yesterday was a pain, and I realised that the NDP Pass thing I was given was pretty useless, it could get me pass all the barriers because beyond the barrier was a wall of people. I ended up walking with Avtar all the way to Bugis from Marina Promenade, just to get a bus to go home. The MRT itself was already too packed with people so I decided to go bus hopping to get home. Carrying a carton of H-two-O home also didn’t help me much. When I finally got to Bugis Junction, after walking an agonising 15 mins, I managed to get a bus to Sim Lim Square, where I got another bus home. By the time I reached home, it was 12 am. A far cry from the 2 am that I was expecting to get home by.
There will be a party for the logistics people in the near future according to Maj Pang, who I think might be giving us a treat, because we have been rated the best support the NDP has seen in a long time! Yay! Finally get to go to a place where I won’t need to move the food, serve the drink and clear the trash there after. Just go there eat and make merry. I also hear that I will get a cert. in some ceremony in the near future for the support provided at the NDP. Hmmm… Wonder if it’s going to be any use next time when I’m applying for a job. Hope that they have a criteria that says, “Any previous NDP experience?”
Anyway, Today is a stand-down for all NDP personnel, but I’m also taking Thurs and Fri off. Can’t bear to go back to squadron and face that Pikachu. Wait for nothing will kanna lightning strike again. Must find a pokemon ball and capture him one of these days. But besides driving on Thurs and most likely Fri, I will be free. So if anyone wants to jio me out, I’m available in the mornings and evenings… *hint hint*
Ya btw, I finally got down to changing my blog background after the incessant complaining frm CW, I hope you like it.

Last rehearsal
Last Sat was the final rehearsal for this year's NDP. They did a single extended run and called it a day. Everyone deserved a rest after the months of continous training every Sat since March. The time has finally come, the National Day, tommorrow at 5.30. But there is no rest for some of us, who have to collect the funpacks and water. At least I got a funpack, though I don't get to see the show. Its been a tiring half day, collecting the water and funpacks... *yawn* Time to snooze...Zzzzz

Week~!
Today is Friday and it has been a somewhat hectic week for me. The good thing is that this whole week I only went to camp for about 2 ½ days. Mon I was on guard till Tues morning, went home for guard off later than expected. Got held up clearing all the paperwork. By the time I got home, it was already 12pm. Took a short rest, then went out to meet Audrey for lunch. Hung out in the new Jurong East Library afterwards, till my driving lesson in the evening.
I must say, it can be scary to filter into a main road, esp. if the vehicles are coming off a hill and you cannot see them till they are at the top of the hill. The driving lesson ran in a circuit, driving down a quiet winding road till it reached the main road which brought me back to the beginning of the quiet road again. It was quite intimidating to filter into the main road, which resulted in the car stalling a few times. But after about 7-10 loops, I more or less got the hang of it.
The next day I took an off, and again went for a driving lesson. This time, I went on a long drive around the area, ending up in Boon Lay at some point. Still had problems with the clutch, but at least the car stalled no more than 10 times during the whole lesson. One major stalling area was when the car was stopped on a slight incline, but managed to get moving after a couple of tries. My lesson was about to come to an end when it suddenly started raining like crazy. Lucky I didn’t have to travel far, because visibility was pretty poor. At least I got a chance to experience what driving in wet weather was like.
After the lesson, went over to CW’s place to meet Aud and him for lunch. Too bad Aud had some work commitments and couldn’t make it at the last moment. Spent the day watching CW tinker around with his blog and its background. That inspired me to change the layout for my blog too… Will be getting to the background once I find something I like to place as the background. Closer to the evening, watched and timed CW as he played Dynasty Warriors. This game seems to have a sedative effect on me, because every time I watch this game being played, I fall asleep. Hmmm…. I wonder why…?
Thurs passed as any other day in camp, doing all the work, getting overworked and going home late. The usual. Decided to take Friday(which is today) MC as my knee was still hurting from the injury during basketball the week before. When I went to see a doctor at the polyclinic, I got what I must say, the lousiest doctor in the place. After going in and telling him my problem, he asked me: “The SAF has one of the best medicine around, why did you come here to see me? You should go and see your MO about your problem, shouldn’t come and see me.” What he said completely caught me by surprise! In all my years of seeing doctors, he is the first to say something like that. If he felt that seeing NS men were such a chore, well then, quit! I was about to tick him off right there and then, but I felt that it would be a waste of my time. Better to spend it writing a complain letter to the NHG about him. Since he’s so disgruntled about his job, I should put him out of his misery. But on the other hand, why should I put him out of his misery? Should let him stay there and rot. Hmmm… contemplate that later… Any suggestions?

Tsunami!
Had NDP today as usual, a usual start to a very unusual day. Started out with the normal opening of the container and removing all the needed stores for the day. Went about setting up all the points and the command post, which took a little more than an hour…after which, the person in charge of the point had to arrange all the bottles of water on the bench/table depending on what the point uses. For a visual idea, look at the previous NDP post. You will get the idea. Find the task pretty bo liao, but I got to follow orders.
Once I was done doing that, the sky began getting dark and there was a cool wind blowing. It didn’t look like it was going to rain though, the place was relatively bright still. This was when the amazing or rather scary thing started. The wind started picking up just as the place suddenly grew dim. Then as the rain began to pour, the wind picked up again. This wind got so strong till it started taking my tentage apart! The concrete blocks each weighing about 40-50kg seem to “float” and then shifted towards me. Then the canvas on the tentage gave way and blew off. All this took about 10 mins but it seemed like an hr. The longest 10 mins of my life. Later I learnt that the tentage I was in was one of the more lucky ones. There were 3 more upriver that were completely destroyed. Guess that the canvas giving way was in some way a blessing in disguise. The tentages that were destroys had the canvas intact all the way. Later surveying the damage after the rain, I felt lucky that day. The wind uprooted trees, a stone bench and took out 3 street lamps. There was a concrete block attached to what remained of a tentage, all stuck in a tree. Too bad I don’t have pictures, the policed sealed the area off.
Then later in the day, another weird thing occurred. I found a bull frog sitting on the edge of the river bank! The funny thing was that the river was saltwater while the frog is the fresh water kind found in restaurants here. Still wondering how it got there. Anyway, me being me, picked up the frog, much to the amusement of a lot of people amidst the screams from the girls who saw me doing so. Haha… Went around holding the frog in my hand, there were the curious, never seen/touched a frog before; and the plain see and scream their head off people. The rest were just too stunned to react. But I must say, suddenly being surrounded by girls is an interesting feeling, abet them more interested in the frog then me, and being much too young for my taste. Perhaps Mr. Tan might be interested? Heh heh heh… =X
For the benefit of those who cannot visualise what a frog looks like:
Ribbit!
There was this incek who asked mi to stuff the frog into his pocket, aka magician wannabe. Haha… Make a frog appear from his pocket? Haha… Anyway, had more fun going around and asking if the girls would like to find out if that frog was their prince charming. Not one took up the offer. Then there was this one who asked mi to kiss the frog, maybe it was a female frog and would become a princess? If a girl had frog origins, well then, keep away from me. I got my own tadpoles. Anyway, as for the fate of the frog, it’s sitting on some corner of the padang I think. Let the incek release it for me. I think one frog would not have been enough for me to make porridge anyway. Frog Leg Porridge. Yum…
The rest of the day was pretty uneventful, save for the fireworks later in the night. Going to sleep now. Ciao.

Driving
Recently decided that, since I have so much NDP-off to clear, I might as well do something useful with the time. So after much contemplating, I have decided to take up driving. Not the golf kind of course. I find a man hitting a small white ball with a stick, then after which going to look for his ball, only to hit it again till it drops into a hole which is 5X bigger than the ball itself, seemingly displaying the pinnacle of human intelligence, sort of depressing. But back to the topic… I’m learning how to drive!
Learning with this instructor that my mom’s nephew recommended (Does that make him my cousin??). Supposed to be his friend, but the instructor can’t seem to recall who he his… hmmm… hahaha… Anyway, he is a good instructor, patience, clear, and transparent about what he says. Everything is explained clearly and concisely, complete with reasons if I’m not convinced. The first lesson went pretty well, I was actually driving the car within ½ an hr. Was a bit hesitant at first, but I managed to move off without stalling the car on the first try… Hurray! Did a short run on a curved road, stopping a few times along the way… with that, my hour long lesson ended, just when I reached the main road. It was fun, but much harder than it looks. You know how you see someone driving on e road and thinking that it looked simple enough? Well, it’s deceiving. It’s not that simple. But it’s my first lesson only. Suddenly to main road with all the traffic looks very intimidating. Till the next lesson. Ciao.

Another NDP!
Today was another NDP. Seems sad sometimes how my Saturdays are seemingly wasted away moving stores, water and food around for people. People who, by a large majority, seem to take it for granted. They expect the food and water to be there when the reach there, without taking into account the limited resources that we are working with. There is a queue that, even we have to join to obtain their rations. And there are the kiasu ones who, after giving them their requested amount of rations, tell you that it’s not enough, expecting that the food is unlimited and that if they want extras they can get it. If it’s really not enough, there are extras that we can draw on. The irritating part is that the amount requested was already more than enough, usually resulting in uneaten rations, and there they are telling me that the amount stated there is insufficient!
However, the bright side of this usually comes to light on the following Monday, when I make my way back to camp. It then seems heavenly that I got a day off to clear, making sure that I work only four days a week! Haha… A day less from squadron really can raise one’s morale. Another is the cute girls participating in the NDP. Got to know a couple of them, and they can really send rays of light into a dull situation. Will post a pic of them when, and if I get one. So if any of you gals are reading this… *hint hint* ;)
Got a few pics from handphone cameras, the quality is not too good, but it’s the best available. Unless of course someone wants to sponsor me a camera or a 2-megapixel K750i or W800i, for which I would be eternally grateful. Camera is preferred of course. Hahaha… =X

BBQ!
Today! Another off day. To compensate for Sat burned, when I have to do NDP. Using this day to the fullest extent, catching up with my sec. sch gang… Not going to be much more opportunities to do so in the near future, as they are starting uni soon. Day started off with me waking up late to meet them at Kang Wei’s place where they were meeting for bball before a planned BBQ. Rushed there, going pass Bt. Panjang plaza, not realising that the meeting point had been amended to there. Well, neither did the rest of them till they reached KW’s house, with the exception of Jun Xian, Kang Wei and, Chiang Wei, the people who changed the meeting location. Hahaha… Well, after I got to KW’s house, but not before getting stuck at the gate with his weird security, we all made our way to BP plaza to meet up with Jun and CW. Once we got there, spent a short while looking for them before they appeared. Apparently, CW went to Jun’s place first and they just got there also. Outstanding! And I thought I was e latest there. Went to the NTUC there, to buy the food needed for the BBQ later that day. A debating war almost broke out with Jun wanting to go for the frozen whole chicken wings whilst CW and Yun went for the fresh chicken mid-joints. After much discussion, we finally settled with the fresh chicken due to time-constrains and ease of cooking. Also bought many other things, spending about $70++ in the end. Pretty cheap eh? Haha. All this time, poor KW was getting shot at for being a poor host. I say he did a pretty good job so far, but wasn’t so used to being the organiser for such things. We went back to KW’s place once we were done buying all the food for our “chefs” to do their work marinating the food. While they did this, the rest of us chilled in the room watching Ben play DOTA.
Once they were done, we went down to play bball. The court in the condo however, had been taken up by another grp playing soccer, so we had to venture out to a court down the road which had a wooden backboard. Very old school sia. Then a funny thing started happening. Ben started missing most of his shots, whilst I on the other hand, started scoring. Ben soon started blaming the board for missing constantly. hahaha…. We played a couple of games before heading back for the BBQ, but on the way back, we saw that the court in the condo had been vacated and we couldn’t resist another game. Ben was still missing his shots at that court, so maybe it wasn’t a problem with the board after all... =p
Took a rest, before taking a bath, after which we headed to the pit for the BBQ. The design of the pit here is better than most places, the grill at the bottom made the fire was easy to start and maintain. Although, this made the distance between the top grill and the charcoal was somewhat close. This caused the food cook, or rather burn, faster than usual. The fire was also hotter than most. We had a fiery time constantly flipping the things on the BBQ to prevent it from reducing to a lump of charcoal. But sad to say, we were not that successful, having half-burnt sausages, a few pieces of squid completed cooked to a crisp, black and crispy, the chicken wings didn’t fare that well too. Ben cooked his special, Songshan Honey Chicken Wings. Delicious!! The fillets were also marinated and cooked perfectly. Kudos to the chefs! Now I’m getting hungry again. I had to leave early because of a problem at home that I shall not mention.
Cheers!
Since I’m lazy to post all the pics here, I have added a link to my picture gallery.
Check out the link ->
The guys also gave themselves Christian names, CW becoming Eugene Ong; KW becoming Alfonso Ang; Ying Yang becoming Reggie Tan and Yun was Juggernaut Ong. Can't seem to recall Jun's christian name. Oops. Hahaha…. How they got those names are still kind of a blur to me. Anyone care to enlighten me?
I shall sign off now. I got a long day ahead of me. Ciao!

Overdue!
I've been pretty busy the past week and a half. So to make up for nt blogging here, I shall be making 2 post today. One entry for the past week or so and, another for today. Why so special? Cos today was a good day so it warrants its own entry.
Past week or so. Getting back to camp on Tues, was to walk right into a hell of sorts. Little did I know that I was walking into that very morning was to qualification by the QAC. I know I’ve been saying that I was qualifying for some time now, but it’s a multi-stage process and this was the final stage. QAC is a scary place for us, because of the fact that to be part of the QAC, the personnel there are amongst the best and most experienced in what they do. They may not have a clear idea about the specialities of my squadron, but the questions that they ask on general items are on a whole new level. I’m not talking about one level above what I know, but let’s say 20 levels above me? Sound exaggerated, but yeah… it about there. He can ask questions that everyone can give the blank look, but only because it sounds greek to us. All I can say is that my mates and I were lucky to get qualified. At least that storm is over. After clearing all the paperwork needed, I can finally say that I’m a qualified person. But suddenly it doesn’t sound as good as it once seems. Putting my signature on e dotted line suddenly seems scary and a lot of questions begin to pop into my head. Questions like what if I screw up? Or what if because of something I did or didn’t do something terrible happens? Haiz… Guess I’ve got to be on the ball from now on. Luckily for me, the next few servicing(s) that I do will be counter checked by a more senior guy before I sign, so that at least gives me a peace of mind for now.
But at least my servicing did not start for that week; this was due to the paper work problems, and that repealing incident that happened in the base. Don’t ask me for details. I’m not telling anyone anything. I had to work overtime due to that incident, going for safety briefings, talks with the management, etc. etc. Long and tiring week, but I was lucky once again, with the NDP coming to my rescue once again. Moving cartons and cartons of drinks is no less tiring, but fighting the ZZ-monster constantly in the briefings is more than I can handle. Send me for more manual labour the next time the waves of briefings come again, but touch wood that nothing happens anymore.
Starting doing servicing today, the 18th of July 2005. A stressful day. The day I sign documents. Started my 1st working day, packed to the brim. But thanks to the weather, (it rained the whole day) I ended up doing one servicing and one aircraft wash. The next day was also pretty marred by weather, but managed to do 1 servicing before the weather came in. Wed was much better, but I was swamped. The fact that the day started at 5.30am didn’t help either. But its over. =D Today was my off day. Yippee! See the next entry for details! Out!

Day Off!
Today I took one of the off that I was accumulating from NDP due to the fact that there have been complains that I have been collecting too much off. It's not like I've been allowed to take it previously. So I took today off so that Sat's NDP off doesn't continue to pile up on the off I've already collected so far.
Today went smoothly with the day begining by meet the old gin gang for a game of basketball in Jurong. Arrived about 20mins late cos I sorta overslept and woke up at 8am when I was meeting them at 9. When I got there, Jun, Yun and CW were already there, sitting at the courts patiently because none of the early birds happened to bring the ball... Hahaha... So when I showed up with a ball in hand, I got off pretty easy. Kang Wei came abt 20mins after me wif Ben 10mins later. Played till abt 12+ then all of us went to CW's house to bathe and change before going for lunch at seoul garden JP. KW didn't join us as he had to go scope out JE Mac. for his mystery shopper job. So for those of you who work at JE Mac. you have been visited! hahaha....
So the rest of us went to JP for seoul garden with Ying Yang joining us later although he didn't eat anything. He didn't have to pay either so its pretty much alright. Ying Yang aka TYY just got back from his exciting romp in Thailand last night, I'm hoping he didn't bring any "mushrooms" or any other unintended items back from there. Hahaha.... Back to the outing... When we arrived at JP we ran into Rowena there who was out shopping with her mum. Ben and CW were joking about bringing her and Florence together for the world war III showdown. Haha... Those 2 have a colourful history that I shan't mention at this time.
Spent the time at seoul garden reminiscing about the old sec sch days. haha... we had a great laugh at our sch mates and teachers like the stiff Mr. Chong, the boring Mrs. Kng, the evil teletubby Ms. Poh (Po), and many others. My past seems to have caught up with me too... with one of my antics from that time... hahaha... don't ask me what it is... I'm not telling. =p After stuffing ourselves silly (Took too much) we proceeded around JP looking at comics and cameras. CW saw the new harry potter book on pre-order sale at popular and ended up ordering. He couldn't resist the grear bargain. Will attempt to borrow it from him once he's done with it. Heehee... CW if u are reading this... Heehee... You know what I'm gonna ask soon.
Anyway the outing ended somewhere about there with us going home after that. Pretty tired. Guess I'll go laze infront of the TV a bit before I call it a day.
A rare treat: Pics from the outing courtesy of CW and his blog.

Another Week!
Back blogging again after more than a week of absence... At this current trend, I might just end up blogging once a month! Haha... Hope it doesn't come to that, but at the same time I'll have more to write that way, summing up my pretty slow life once a month is definitely much easier than every day or every other day for that matter. The week went by pretty fast as I was doing the night shift for 1/2 the week, the time seems to fly by when it starts at 12pm with me waking up and reporting to camp an hr or more later. Then a couple of hours after reporting to camp the sky begins to darken as the sun sets and the rest of the world goes to sleep while I work till abt 10+ or 11 before going home. And the cycle repeats itself. But the morning shift is better in some other ways although I have to report early to camp; at least I get to go home earlier too. It’s nice to book out with the sun still in the sky sometimes. The week was pretty much the same as any other, filled with wrong request, conflicting orders and constantly changing orders. The good part was on thurs, when the CO treated the whole squadron lunch of succulent roasted delicacies in the likes of a suckling pig, meat(char siew), chicken and duck. Needless to say, by the time I got there, it was just in time to snap up the last pathetic piece of suckling pig. And that was because I was quick, although in turn lost out for a piece of char siew. Haha… it was a good trade-off. =p Good thing that the chicken and duck was aplenty, or the NSFs would have starved to death. The reason for the sudden treat was the CO got promoted, something that happens like once in 2-3 yrs. So it looks like that’s the last one coming my way.
Fri was pretty stressful day, going to QAC (Quality Assurance Centre) for oral examination to become a qualified personnel. Managed to pass the test, but by a whisker if you ask me. Going back to the squadron afterwards, had the bad luck of running into Jack-O-Lantern, who loves eavesdropping other people’s conversation, can come and scold me for saying that doing a fireguard is easier that being a marshalled. It’s my own damn opinion, and just because he feels otherwise, doesn’t give him the right to come and scold me for saying so. Not that I was talking to him in the first place. So what if people say he’s good at what he does? It doesn’t give him the right to go around, listening to others conversations and forcing others to take his opinions. Out of all the regulars there, he’s the only overconfident son-0f-a-bitch there, not to say that he’s attitude towards my batch of NSFs has been all but lousy. But enough of him. I will grind my axe some other time.
Sat was NDP as usual, and at the same time not so usual. After distributing lunch, an Indian girl came up to me and said she recognised from a hop-nite at Ngee Ann some years back, of which I was e bouncer. I have no recollection of that, but I supposedly mistook her for a fellow bouncer although she was part of e organisers. Hmm… still don’t remember. Haha…=X Left NDP early to rush down to Audrey’s birthday party. When I got there, I was in for a surprise. The first thing when I got there was this lady, who I now have a believe was one year my senior, came up to me and asked me if I recognised her. I have a rough idea of what she used to look like, but cannot really recall ever talking the her before. Heehee… After that when I saw Aud and her rebounded hair, I was…stunned. Not because she suddenly looked stunning, but more like her new look was an acquired taste. It doesn’t make her look ugly, but I say I liked the previous hair style. (haha… In case you are reading this aud, sorry for saying it made you look like a mushroom. But that was the only thing that I could think of at such short notice). Had a good time talking with the rest of the gang, although Aud herself was running around entertaining everyone. Left with the rest of the gang at about 10+ with Kelvin driving Mali home and CW, Jun and me going to westmall to chat awhile longer before we called it a day and went home.
Since I’m on e topic of birthdays… I like to wish Audrey HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY! I know its not till Thurs but I’d like to be an early bird.
And another person who I like to wish in case I forget is Jeannie whose bdae is on Tues. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEANNIE! And no, you are not getting the cash, car and condo from me.
Its 2am now, and I am starting to get exhausted. Till the next time. Ciao.

Back!
First of all, I know I've gone for almost 2 weeks without blogging, but its time for an update! My schedule has been pretty tight for the past weeks, leaving me pretty drained by the time I got home, so it was reach home, eat dinner, bathe and slp. Bathing was optional in some cases, I just slept on e floor. Sounds pretty cham right? Sad but true.
The weeks passed painfully slowly, with so many things to do. The rain was particularly irritating at times, keeping me from completing some task that effectivily kept me stuck in camp. (For the benefits of those who don't already know, I'm a stay out personnel.) The ends of the months are particularly tiring esp. these few months. Glad its almost over.
Last sat was the 1st NDP Rehersal at the Padang, I was stationed at Marina Promeanade with the civilian contingents. It was pretty fun, having for the 1st time not needing to carry all my supplies to the water/ration points myself. Had another team from Changi AB doing all the moving/delivery of all the supplies. Though they kind of died off at the end(Puff the magic dragon, they disappeared!). Haha. It was good whilst it lasted. Thanks guys. But it is not meant to be. Hear that this week, it will be back to me to do the deploying and supplying of the points once again. Haiz...
Ended up manning the water/ration pt supplying the NTUC and MMI contingents. Both which seem to lack in pretty ladies. Heehee. MMI has a number, but in comparison to e total size, its but a small fraction. Glad to see that the Scout contingent was just beside my point, cos their headmistress(Yes, there are girl scouts now) is pretty cute and just a little younger than I am. Heh heh heh. Was slightly disappointed though... I was the one in charge of that point before moving one station down due to the lack of manpower. =( One must make the best of their situation, and so I will.
Managed to see the full flypast of the RSAF aircraft and feel the power of the artillery cannons when they fired from across the Singapore river. Was pretty tired so I didn't stay to watch the fireworks testing. Maybe another week.
While I was busy doing all this, I was also missing out on my good friend Mary's birthday party. Was hoping to be able to rush down after the rehersal, but it gt delayed so I couldn't make it. Only consolation is that my present managed to make it there. ENJOY YOUR PRESENT MALI!
This week also was pretty much the same except that I ended up working overtime on a few occasions. Managed to get off earlier today so tt is why you are getting this update. Hee... Tml is SAF Day and there is some parade that I'm supposed to be in. Funny concidence is that the slight cough I've been having seems to be acting up. Shall go to the polyclinic to get it checked in the morning =D *Cough* Heehee...
Its getting late... I shall go get some rest now. Till the next time!

Dilemma
Have you ever had the need to be in 2 places at the same time, where one is mandatory you be there, and the other is the one you want to be at? Well I'm there right now, and will be again in a couple of weeks time. Haiz.
There are times I wish I could stop time, bend it and spread it out evenly so that I can do everything I want to do, have to do and still have a bit of time leftover to sit around and do absolutely nothing at all. Haha... Ok, I should stop dreaming now. =p Back to pondering over the above mentioned problem. To to to be where and not to to to be where? Headache sia.
Can't think of anything else to write at the moment, so I shall leave this at it is and ponder. Ponder about this and my virtually non-existance love life. But that's another slice for another time. Ciao.

Mistakes
I have finally understood why more and more people are becoming perfectionist. A simple mistake, one seemingly unimportant, can cause major headaches for not only you, but also all those around you. The price some people pay for a lapse in concentration doing what is a standard every now so often task.
Whilst I cannot elaborate on what happened, I would like to clarify that I wasn't involved but got hit by the backlash afterwards anyway. So I would like to ask: if such a small mistake, not detected by all the checks along the way, could cause so much trouble, who would dare make any mistakes at all? I sure don't. But at the same time, I'm human too, bound to cause a hick-up sooner or later, big or small, and even the best systems cannot save me. Should all that I can do is to do my best, hope that the mistake I made, can be quickly corrected, covered up and forgotten by all but myself? Sometimes I wish it was that easy: be selfish and let others find out what not to do by making the same mistake themselves. But its not. Back to the drawing board? Hahaha...
This week I seemed to be doomed to the afternoon shift, waking up late, sleeping late, but I would try to blog every now and then. But until I get a digital camera den you might get pictures. Till the next time. Ciao!

NDP!
Yesterday was Saturday, which, from March till now, has been NDP day for me. I know it seem a little exaggerated, the people who knew this before hand all exclaimed, quote:" Are you sure? Its March only! Why start so early??" All I can say is don't ask me. I'm just doing the logistics support, not the marching, which looks pretty hard to coordinate. Hope you all would be impressed by it come National Day!
Anyway, since I'm not the marching contingent, I should not be complaining. I am afterall, getting a day off per Saturday worked as compensation. However, contary to what people perceive, doing the logistics support is not exactly a walk in the park either. Carrying water drums, food rations, and the water dispenser up or down is a tiring task, and people who drink as if singapore is running out of water is not exactly helping either.
But one must always look at the bright side of things, so when I look across the area where I am stationed, at some of the cute gals, it just makes it all worthwhile...=x haha... Guess I better stop here before I get egged by someone. *yawn* Still have to charge my batteries from all the hard work. Ciao.

Getting older!
I like to take this oppotunity to wish PH a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
I shan't revel her age for all, but yes PH, one year older le! Haha... I will stay happy as your birthday pressie, but I didn't say for how long wor... =x But rest assured, I will stay happy at least for today. Now before I do that, I have a question to ask: Where is the birthday cake? Don't I get a slice? =p
